Dreams

Have you ever thought about your career path? It's not just what you want to be when you grow up anymore. The thing is, I don't know what I want. Okay, scratch that. I do know what I want. But it doesn't involve getting old, getting tired and paying taxes. More of the partying, the traveling and sleepless nights - yup, that's more like it. But it can't be. So right now, I'm weighing my options. You're all well-aware of how much I don't want to be stuck in this rut.

My mom's still pushing me to go to Australia - I'm still pushing my luck to head over to England or maybe the U.S. of A. Right now I really can't tell. But you know, I don't want to jinx anything at the moment. I need to graduate first before any of this gets to happen.

Speaking of which, please keep your fingers crossed for me. It's my last year in college and I can't really afford any mishaps this time.

PS.
I want all the lavishness in life and I know I'm getting it the hard way.

Kiss Me Deadly

Summer is barely over and I'm already freaking out on my thesis. Seriously, this is the worst thing to do while you're on vacation - worrying about school. I must say that this is all because of that thesis orientation thing that happened a month ago. If you're curious how that one went, well.. I didn't go. For one I woke up late, plus I got extremely lazy! The heat outside was so unbearable that I'd rather just stay in than sweat buckets.

Last night, I kept myself busy by working on my online portfolio which you can check out by clicking this. Well it isn't that flashy seeing that I want to showcase my designs and not my freaking layout. Anyway, I'm still working on the posts. Right now I'm just uploading my best works (in my opinion) which isn't exactly involve much effort since I just to click this and that and type random stuff. One of the things that piss me off though is the resolution. Yup, it sucks. That's why I included links to my Flickr and DeviantArt.

Here are some of the stuff I have already posted.

So, what do you think?

Extra Curricular

Yesterday has been absolutely uneventful and I mean it. I wish I could provide photos of it although I'm pretty sure that no image can ever represent the word (uneventful).

But just to humor you guys a bit - I've been working out. Yes, working out. As in, sweating out all these calories kind of working out. It isn't the kind where I have to go to the gym and hire a trainer (which would be pretty expensive, if you ask me), it's the type wherein I get to stay in and just.. work out and sweat. It comes with a lot of discipline too and I'm actually having quite a hard time in that area. Okay, so I've been doing some yoga on my own thanks to my mom's Beginner Yoga VCDs. It's been rather relaxing and I've been doing it everyday since last Sunday! Why am I doing this? Self-fulfillment, obviously. Besides, I have a beach trip next month. You must think that it's too early for me to start dieting and stuff but this is also for when classes start! There has got to be something new about me. It's already a given rule. Remember when you were back in grade school and each year you need a new bag, a new pair of shoes (!), new everything - this is kind of like the same thing. I want to shed a couple of pounds. Seriously. It's my last year in college and I need to look good - take note of the word I used: Need.

I do not go to bed without doing yoga first. What can I say, it's a new must for my new-found lifestyle. Now I just need to control my food intake - less carbohydrates, definitely.

Hmm, so what else is new? Oh, right! I applied for an (art) internship!

And yes, it's in Status Magazine! We're not really required to do any sort of On the Job Training (OJT), it's a personal choice - something that would make my resume look good. More work experience = brownie points! Besides, I've always wanted to work for a magazine. And if I do get the job then it would be like fulfilling my dreams!

That right there is their May issue featuring Yoko Ono, an illustration by their Art Director Soleil Ignacio. It's pretty brilliant isn't it?

Spring Cleaning

It isn't Spring (well, at least not in the Philippines since we only have two seasons) but I felt so bad for my room that I just had to get off my butt and start managing all this mess.

It was bound to happen one way or the other. No matter how lazy I could get, I still found a reason to just do it. Besides, there was nothing left to do and I haven't worked out since.. Oh, right.. I don't work out. But you get my point, right?

So yes.. those are the before photos of my room. You must have noticed the mountain of clothes here and there. I never fail to make a mess every time I get ready, especially when I'm in a rush to get out of the house.

But then after a little bit (a lot, actually) of sweeping, dusting, folding and organizing.. this is the result. Do you see the huge difference it made? I'm absolutely happy about it! Although I don't exactly sleep in my room anymore, at least I wouldn't be too shy to let anyone see it. Everything is in place - well, almost!

PS.
Check out my desktop wallpaper! Pierce the Veil for the win!

Even in the Summer

It's currently 4:20AM, April 22; Good Friday 2011. And I've been checking out random music videos of bands I've been listening to for the past months on YouTube. I'm sure you all know who New Found Glory is. If not, then Google them and check out their tunes (if you're into the same music as me, that is).

This is them.

Well as I was browsing through their multiple videos, I came across one of my favorite songs by them: It's Not Your Fault. See, I never really got around checking out their videos since I'm not much of a YouTube-r but when I do, I make sure that I get to watch a lot.

So the video! It has got to be one of my favorite music videos made ever. It was sweet with an unexpected ending (much like Rookie of the Year's "What is Love"). So if you haven't seen it, then all you have to do is click this.

Enjoy!

What a nice way to start good Friday. :)
