And Then Some

Today's been good. Last night, not so much. But it's alright, it was never meant to last. Anyway, what is so endearing about this day you ask?
  1. I get to drink a few shots with my friends.
  2. (The best part) I GET TO WATCH TOY STORY 3 FOR FREE WITH MY BESTEST FRIEND EVAR.
It was a seriously great movie and I tried to hold my tears. I also got to bond with my best friend, Matt a little since we were also with Patrice and Mark (his friends who are now mine as well). Funny enough, we don't have any picture together considering that we've been best friends for three years now. Maybe next time when we see each other again, we'll take pictures.. while hugging. 'Cause that's just our thing.. we hug a lot. And people think we're together. Okay, that was random.

If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. Temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so you can endure.

Realized

You all know how much I love fashion. How much I love dressing up and going on (window) shopping trips. But I just realized that I was never brand-conscious. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's a good thing or not. Plus, I'm not that familiar to a lot of designers which is such a shame especially now that I'm thinking of it as a possible career. Ugh, FML. I need to research more.

Final Thoughts

I actually want to blog about fashion but I rant too much about random stuff and I don't really post much about fashion (anymore). But yeah, you get me right?

Ciao (for real).

Can you feel my heartbeat?

This is me trying to escape from boredom the other day (Saturday, since it's already Monday). I wore my striped dress (with zippers on the sleeves) as a top with my black DIY high-waisted skirt; accessorized with black stockings, a blue patented belt and two different hats.

Honestly, having this little photo shoot by myself didn't really take my mind off things. Not doing anything makes me go insane. Thinking about certain topics that I should not be thinking off, worrying about problems that aren't even mine.. seriously. If summer vacation made me this way then it can go suck my invisible dick. But then again, I will miss it once school rolls by on Tuesday. Speaking of Tuesday, I'm feeling a little apprehensive about it. I still need to go to the bank but then it's still closed so FML.

Is it weird if I tell you that I miss my ex-boyfriend from five years ago? He was the nicest one. Plus the both of us were still a little bit hung up on each other three years after the break-up. You can say that we never really had a decent closure; we were both young when we got together (I was fourteen, he was fifteen), very immature and juvenile. We were only together for exactly three months and I still keep on wondering now what if I set my pride aside and gave it another shot? But the what ifs will remain what ifs. I will never, ever find out. See what this break from school is doing to me? Wondering about things from forever ago now which is not a good thing.
I suppose I have a really loose interpretation of "work," because I think that just being alive is so much work at something you don't always want to do. The machinery is always going. Even when you sleep.

Moving on, I have been finally making use of my (hibernating) creative juices. They're still there, apparently, I just haven't paid much attention to it over the months. I was too busy dreaming of the waves of the sea, the bumming around (that I am now sick of), and hanging out with people (which I've only done for a quarter of my summer). And now that it's almost over, I have squeezed my brain to its extent and have decided to work on my art. Finally, I know! I remember mentioning that I'm a little bit confused with my future career as an artist; whether I should be a photographer, an illustrator, a graphic designer / web developer, or a fashion stylist. In the past days I tried to pick up inspiration from back issues of magazines (i.e Anthem, Nylon), also asking help from my mom who (I think) manages artists and is very, very much exposed in the art world. And so I have ventured. The result?

A self-portrait that I did during an excruciatingly hot morning in a bazaar where we had a booth.

Inspirations for future photoshoots.

Inspirations for illustrations / graphic design.

Experimenting with lighting.

Illustration.

The last one isn't finished yet. And I'm also working on graphic design (a personal project, obviously) right now. Maybe I'll post it in my deviantArt or Flickr when it's done with.

Anyway, I'm calling it a night. It's 3am and I have a lot of over-sleeping to do. Fin.

Should Have Taken Acid With You

Today's been uneventful but still pretty tiring. I'm not used to going out everyday anymore seeing that I'm still on my summer vacay and I won't go back to school until Tuesday next week. My days are numbered but I don't mind, because as Tuesday rolls by, I get to be with you again.

I like the fact that you send me songs that you think I'd like, even when your hands get sweaty when you hold mine. I like it that you love my voice when I've just woken up, and that you called me just to sing me a song you know I can't resist. Maybe you wouldn't be able to read this but it would be better off that way. What we have now is lovely, and that's all that matters now. I am happy and so are you. Let's leave it like this.

Seriously, Blogging

I've never given a thought of blogging seriously. It has always been one of my past times since I was in high school to write about random stuff going on in my life and telling stories. Writing, as most of my previous blog followers know, is something that I've been considering as one of my career paths. Why not, right? I did want to take up Creative Writing and my second choice in UST was Journalism. But then, I still wasn't sure of it. Heck I'm still not sure of anything now!

There are three ways that I am currently considering.
  1. Fashion (as a stylist)
  2. Photographer
  3. Graphic artist / Web developer
Obviously, I cannot have all of them at once. I'm not getting any younger and time will come that I would have to decide. But right now maybe I should try to venture in all of these fields. And wherever I excel the most, that would be the one to choose. Hmm, or maybe I'll just go to Australia for further studies.
